How to Feel Like You Again After Giving Birth: A Guide for Recovering

Birth and pregnancy are wonderful, but can be very stressful for the body. The body is affected by this stress, with things such as hair loss, high blood pressure and premature birth all being a concern. Women are not exempt from side effects, even if they have experienced serious complications.

Although you must love your body, and all of its changes, it's perfectly normal to feel uncomfortable in your own skin. This is especially true if you have experienced more severe symptoms during pregnancy. This guide can help you get back to your old self. It can be equally important for your well-being and your health.

1. How to Help Your Perineum Heal
You can help your perineum heal from birth by icing it. It should be iced every two hours for the first few days. But don't apply ice directly to it. It is best to use an ice pack or cold packs. To reduce irritation, you can spray the area with warmwater after you have urinated. To reduce pain, another tip is to take a sitzbath for at least 20 mins. This can be repeated throughout your day.

2. Consume Plenty of Fibre-Rich Foods
It is common to experience constipation after giving birth. However, it is important that you are patient. To naturally increase your bowel movements, eat lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, and fibre-rich foods.

3. Exercise Postpartum
It is possible to get your body back after having children, but it is important that you are realistic. People seem to bounce back naturally with little effort. However, this is not due to a secret exercise program - it's natural. Slower is better. You can do small exercises if you feel up to it. However, high-intensity exercise should be postponed until your six-week postnatal appointment.

4. How to Deal with Hair Loss
Hormones can cause hair loss during pregnancy as well as after birth. If given enough time, it should start growing back by itself. However, not all mums will see their hair grow back. Thinning can occur in a number of ways. In these cases, hair loss treatment may be the best option. FUE, which is an effective treatment for hair loss in women, is more common than people think.

5. Managing Postpartum Acne
Acne can also be caused by hormonal changes, which can cause a lot of stress for people who are recovering from birth. This can be treated with topical or oral acne treatment, and birth control pills may help. Talk to your doctor before you make any decisions. Breastfeeding can mean that some options may not be suitable for you. Most likely, you can use topical creams such as benzoyl peroxide while breastfeeding. Before you start taking medication, your doctor must approve.
